The re-launch of this meander through the nature reserve, was heralded in by the trumpeting of the South Easter.

A good blast from the Cape Doctor set the field off, along a route that included coastal scenery, fields of proteas, wide open spaces, curious ostriches and the occasional cheeky baboon.

Serious runners charged along taking just over an hour to complete the 21km’s, whilst the more sedentary jogged at bird watchers pace to enjoy the surroundings.

I’ve done a few runs organized by Trail Running and must confess, the vibe and support is far superior to the road races (although I confess, I run both). Excellent medal – really unique, well done

Hi All

I would just like to thank you all for an amazing run yesterday.

Your arrangements were brilliant, the people so helpful and the run was AWESOME. I tried to explain to friends and family how strong the wind was. My explanation was, the wind blew the spit out of my mouth,
thats how strong the wind was, but it made for interesting running.

Thanks again, I’LL BE BACK.

Take care
Ronelle Duncan
